We are Sem de Jonge and Joëlle Derks, adventurers, bon vivants and entrepreneurs at heart. After five inspiring years in bustling Amsterdam and a good dose of wanderlust, we are ready to make our dreams come true as a couple just across the border in Gangelt.

At The Mühle
Yes, that's Dutch and German mixed up -we want you to taste the unique charm of the border region. From Limburg cosiness to German hospitality, everything comes together in our brasserie.
Our love of burgundy hotspots all over the world has shown us what true enjoyment means. We have compiled these experiences and brought them together in the Mühle: a place where the nostalgia of the old mill is conveyed in a renewed look. A place where you can always feel at home, whether you pop in for a quick cup of coffee or linger for a long dinner. In doing so, we offer space for personal and community events, where guests not only come together, but also create unforgettable memories.
Our place also lends itself perfectly as a base for a nice walk or cycle trip. The Mühle is located in the green nature reserve of the Red Bach, a beautiful hiking and cycling area just asking to be discovered. Here you will be treated to peaceful forests, babbling brooks and endless views. And as far as we are concerned, that is exactly what makes the Mühle so special. For us, it is a dream come true. Naturally, we would like to share this enthusiasm with you!
